Powerful Owl Digital (“we”, “us”) is a small web design and hosting business in the Blue Mountains, NSW. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you send us a message through our contact form, we collect the details you enter:

• your name and email address
• optionally, your phone number and business name
• the service you are interested in and your message

When you visit the site, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is needed to deliver the site securely and to protect it from spam and abuse. We don't use it to identify you.

If you become a client, we also keep the information we need to do the work, such as contact details, invoices and the access details for your website, hosting and domains.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

• reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation
• provide, invoice and support the services you ask us for
• keep sensible business and tax records

We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to marketing lists without asking.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn't track you across other websites. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the site secure. If we add analytics in future, we'll update this policy first.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with services that help us run the website and our business:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website
• our email delivery service, which passes contact form messages to our inbox
• our email and accounting providers, for client work and records

Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers with strong security. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How we keep it safe

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and the contact form is protected against spam. Enquiries go to a private business inbox. We store client access details securely and use them only to do the work you've asked for.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and client records for as long as the law requires. After that, we delete them.

Access, correction and deletion
