Translation questions
Can't see your question? Send us your website address and ask us anything.
Weglot, a well-known website translation service, translates your pages automatically. We then set it up so your business name, place names and key words stay right, and we fix any wording you or your customers point out. For pages where every word matters, like health or legal information, we recommend a fluent speaker reads them first.
More about website translation
Speak your customers' language
Western Sydney is one of the most linguistically diverse places in Australia. In some suburbs, more than half of households speak a language other than English at home. Many of your customers read English well, but they feel more confident choosing a business, booking an appointment or reading your prices in the language they speak with their family.
A translated website says "you're welcome here" before anyone picks up the phone.
How it works
- We choose the languages together. We look at who your customers are and which languages will help most.
- You create your Weglot account. It's in your name, so you always own it. We help you pick the right plan.
- We set it up. We connect it to your site and add a language button that matches your design.
- We check the important bits. Your business name, suburb names and key words are kept as they should be, and we read over your main pages.
- We look after it. New pages and changes are translated automatically, and we fix anything that needs it.
Good to know
- Automatic translation is good, not perfect. It's a big step up for most small businesses. For pages where every word matters, ask a fluent speaker to read them, or order a professional translation through Weglot.
- Google can find your translated pages too. With one extra setting, each language gets its own web address, so people searching in that language can find you. We'll tell you if it suits your plan.
- Your English site stays the same. Visitors choose their language with the button, and can switch back any time.
